Hot Bar Soldering - AIT

Advanced Integrated Technologies Inc ( AIT ) manufactures hot bar soldering thermodes for all available equipment at very affordable prices. We build tools equivalent to all the Miyachi Unitek thermodes, as well as Nippon Avionics Co., Ltd (Avio), Palomar-Hughes, MacGregor, and Sunstone Engineering. We are the affordable source for thermodes used in all hot bar soldering applications. If you are trying to cut costs and find affordable thermodes, call us today.

Hot bar soldering is a process within the general category of hot bar bonding. Hot bar reflow soldering is a soldering process where two solder coated parts are rapidly heated with a thermode to a high enough temperature to cause the solder to flow and re-solidify, forming a bond between the parts. Electrical energy flows through the thermode causing it to heat at the point of highest resistance and melt the solder or adhesive and create the connection. As the electricity flows through the thermode, the heat generated is conducted directly to the work piece. Typical hot bar soldering and reflow soldering applications include flexible circuits, ribbon cables, wires, coaxial cables, SMT components, single or dual sided edge connectors, LCD repair and thermocompression bonding of gold wire.

Advanced Integrated Technologies Inc ( AIT ) has been manufacturing thermodes for the resistance welding and hot bar soldering industries for over twenty years. We have become a recognized industry leader in affordable tooling for all brands of welders and soldering machines, especially the Unitek line of equipment. While Unitek has become recognized as the big player in this industry, there are other fine options to consider. In today’s market where companies are cutting costs to be more competitive, many are turning to Sunstone Engineering for high quality and very affordable equipment. At the same time many companies are looking to Advanced Integrated Technologies Inc ( AIT ) for less expensive hot bar soldering thermodes that are still manufactured to exacting quality standards. This combination is helping companies be more competitive in a difficult market.

Advanced Integrated Technologies Inc ( AIT ) helped develop many of the hot bar soldering thermodes in use today. While we market our own line of thermodes, still over fifty percent of our work is in building custom thermodes for customers requiring special designs. We can often build custom thermodes as affordably as our standard product line. If you are tired of paying high prices for hot bar soldering thermodes, call us today and request a quote. No matter what application you have, we can provide the tools you need at a price you can afford.
